Burrata Pasta in Tomato ‘Nduja Sauce

This deliciously easy dish brings together the bold flavors of two pre-made sauces (our Ugly Tomato Sauce & Tomato ‘Nduja) creating a harmonious balance of taste and texture. The star ingredient, creamy burrata, adds a luscious layer that beautifully counters the spicy kick of tomato ‘nduja. As you take a bite, the creaminess envelops the heat, ensuring a delightful experience that is both satisfying and approachable.

A sprinkle of fresh lemon zest crowns the dish, offering an aromatic citrusy zing that brightens the flavors and elevates the overall profile. This combination not only enhances the richness of the burrata but also rounds out the dish with a refreshing finish. With each mouthful, you'll discover how these elements come together effortlessly to create a truly remarkable and easy-to-make meal that feels like a night out.

INGREDIENTS:

1-2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 jar Ugly Tomato Sauce
2-3 tbsp Tomato ‘Nduja
1/4 cup water
1 lb dry pasta (any shape)
burrata cheese (1 ball per dish)
zest of one lemon

PREPARATION:

In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil.

Meanwhile, heat up the olive oil in a medium sauce pot and add 2-3 tablespoons of the Tomato ‘Nduja, 1/4 cup water and stir to combine. Then add the Ugly Tomato Sauce, stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Boil your pasta until slightly underdone (it will finish in the sauce), drain and drop into the simmering sauce. Stir to combine and let the pasta finish cooking for about 5 minutes or until it has reached the desired consistency.

Plate hot and immediately top with (room temperature) burrata and a sprinkling of lemon zest.

Allow the cheese to soften, break it up and enjoy each bite of pasta with some creamy burrata.
