Our seasonal Garlic Scape Pesto features the tender, curling flower stalks of the garlic plant—known as scapes—harvested at peak flavor. These vibrant green shoots offer a milder, sweeter take on traditional garlic, with a bright, fresh “green” character that’s complex and delicious.

Like our other pestos, this version is also vegan and loaded with cashews and chickpeas for a creamy, dairy-free texture. Handcrafted in small batches, it’s a limited-time celebration of spring ending and summer beginning. Stock up before the season ends.

  • Garlic scapes, extra virgin olive oil, chickpeas, cashews, lemon juice, sea salt. CONTAINS CASHEWS.

  • TO MIX WITH PASTA:
    If frozen, thaw completely before serving. Reserve some pasta water (about ½ cup) and mix into the pesto to loosen it up if too thick. The heat from the cooked pasta will loosen it up more as well. Serve and top with with your favorite cheese and more olive oil (optional).

    SERVE AS A DIP:
    Chilled or room temperature with your favorite crudites.

    MAKE GARLIC SCAPE BREAD:
    Whisk 1 part scape pesto with 1 part EVOO and brush on fresh bread before toasting.

  • Upon arrival, refrigerate or freeze your pesto.

    Consume within 10-15 days if kept refrigerated, or freeze it for up to 12 months.

  • Our pestos are shipped straight to your doorstep, in insulated boxes with non-toxic gel packs to keep them frozen during transit. It should arrive cold, safe, and ready to enjoy.
